Have had the front end "aligned" more times than I can remember because the Jeep Mojave keeps pulling to the left.

Done multiple tire rotations and side switching of the tires. Some helped for a while but the problem always came back so I finally just decided one of my OEM Falken tires had a bad or crossed over belt.

So yesterday I had the dealership change to brand new [from tirerack.com] Toyo Open Country A/T 15x11.5x17 tires. Exact same problem once the vehicle gets up to highway speed and now down as low as 35 mph. Heading back to the dealership now. The new tires and the wheels were spun balanced.

Does anyone have any idea what could result in the exact same problem? A wheel? OEM Suspension?

First question, what's the air pressure in the tires?

Second question, what steering stabilizer do you have on the JT?

Third question, is the driver side front caliper hanging up?

Air your tires down to 32 psi and see how that does.

37 psi cold puts you well over 40 psi hot and the truck gets flighty.

Check to make sure your steering stabilizer doesn't "stick" in place.

If your driver side caliper is hanging, it's going to draw the truck that way.

Rotors all same heat level which isn’t much despite highway drive here of 15 miles.

Concur 37 has proven to be too much.

tech is going to rule out tires by flipping the fronts.

As previously said, verify that the steering stabilizer isn't the problem. Disconnect it and see if it still does it. Some stabilizers, like Bilstein, (and I know you said you have a stock stabilizer) have an tendency to create a similar effect. Remove your current one and test drive to rule that out.

Switching sides didn’t work. Once it starts, because sometimes it can go 2-5 minutes before it starts(?). Makes no sense , I’ll definitely talk to them about taking the stabilizer off. Mech wondering if it’s a steering box issue.

Aired down to 34.

Even on the right side of a crowned road it does it.

Great minds and all that @HooliganActual. The master mechanic just told him to take off the stabilizer and see how that works.

My first JT (sport) had the same problem after I went wheeling. I got the front wheel stuck in between a rut and a bolder. I really forced the steering wheel trying to get the front wheel to turn and climb out. After that it always pulled to the left.

Brought it to the dealership and they were useless. So, I started throwing money at it. PSA, don’t do that.

I mention the below in case you can think of something I may have missed. Maybe that will solve your issue?

  • Alignment
  • New tires. Wanted new ones anyway.
  • Changed the steering box from Aluminum to steel.
  • Checked the ball joints and re torqued.
  • Replaced tie rod, draglink, and track bar. Figured I would do this anyway. Having the pull issue just persuaded me to do it sooner.
  • Last, just for shits and giggles, I replaced both front rotors and calipers.
  • Stabilizer
  • Traded it for a Mojave. 😁problem solved!

You mention alignments - but no results or numbers?
Do you have the latest read-out you can post?

Much else already covered but loose or damaged parts should show up in the alignment numbers and no decent shop even begins an alignment without a thorough check for loose parts.

Yes, it's possible, although not common, that the steering gear itself has a problem. It "senses" the torque applied to the steering shaft, and the direction of that torque, and valves according to the assist being asked for or indicated by the torque reading.

Hmmmm, I bet JSCAN and AlfaOBD have a way to check that.
I know it's tracked because if there's more than xx torque applied to the steering wheel, even if straight, ESS won't work

I had a similar problem with my 2020 JL diesel Rubi. My favorite alignment shop did adjustable LCA's for more caster but what really did the trick was a small shim added to the driver side upper ball joint. It must tilt the top of tire inboard a touch because by the end of tire life all the inside edges of my tires (rotations) are worn more than the rest of the tread. Before the Jeep needed constant input to stay straight and now it is a one hand finger/thumb type of drive.

Thanks very much for everyone's great support and help. Ended up being the Steering Damper. Mech put in the newest version which immediately fixed the issue. So happy and relieved.
