Well, what I have been told, is that the Rubicon harness is different than the non-Rubicon models (but don't know if this is true or not???), so it would never be able to be integrated into the system the same way.At what point is it worth it to install a Rubicon styled aftermarket disconnect?
Legit question. I mean we look at the best cost effective way to do things and buying a Sport or Sport S and installing superior aftermarket products becomes a solid option.

BUT, if the harness plugs ARE there (by chance) under the dash, and you have a 8.4" radio setup, you MIGHT be able to talk a dealer into flashing your ECM with a Rubicon flash, or maybe if you have a Tazer JL Mini, you can activate that setting in your non-Rubi model, so the Sway bar disco actuation functions with the factory switch, and to get it to show up on your EVIC that it's conn/disconn on your dash, like it does on the Rubicon.
Dude, you are a good salesman for the Tazer. I will bow to your awesome. You know your shit. I'll be pulling the trigger on the Tazer soon. I cannot imagine it would be cost effective to have a different harness. I hate not having all of my off road vitals on the dash screen.
I just harassed onX Offroad about their lack of interface with apple CarPlay. I want those maps on my dash. Anyone else wanna join that campaign?
Well, I figure if you're going to own a vehicle and accessories, you need to know exactly what all they do, and can do. I'm a bit of a mechanical-nerd. I like to know what something does AND how it works.Well, I figure if you're going to own a vehicle and accessories, you need to know exactly what all they do, and can do. I have the 8.4" Navi, so I use the factory navigation system on mine, and use the BT connectivity with my phone for music, phone calls, etc... It works pretty good that way.
I have the 67 Designs phone mount, so my phone is easily accessible and directly to my off-right. And my music I have setup on playlists or, I turn on the Sirius XM app, and play my playlists through it. So I rarely have to access my phone while driving, unless someone sends a text message, which I need to disable that on my radio. I get tired the "Incoming Text Message from ______" messages on the Jeep radio screen. That shit gets annoying.

I didn't think about the offroad maps...But that's a good point.![]()
Tazer lets you disco the sway bar and/or lock the rear locker in 2wd......And I think the F&R in both 4HI and 4LOW. Not sure about that last part, though.New body harness or a custom pigtail tapped into the main harness connector, the parts up front, the button, and a flash.
Or, just do the easy thing and get an Anti-Rock for $500 when Northridge sends out a discount code. Even off road, sway bars serve a purpose and the Anti-Rock is the best compromise of on-road manners and off-road flex.
@Alabama Mud Machine I think the Z Harness is for Rubicon only and just allows the control of aftermarket units while keeping integration with the stock logic. At least, that's what I get from their description. Stupid, IMO, because part of the appeal of aftermarket lockers is the ability to use them at any time and not be stuck with a F+R and R only modes only in 4Lo.
Yeah, I asked Z Auto about using the Rubi switch to control ARB’s on an Overland. They said it wouldn’t work without a Rubi control module (don’t recall which one they said, drivetrain???).New body harness or a custom pigtail tapped into the main harness connector, the parts up front, the button, and a flash.
