Tailgate camera use while tailgate is down

The main issue is the alarm I get as I have to back up a long drive uphill

Your a genius! Thanks it not only works for the alarm but stays as last state after restart. I doubt now that I'll go to the trouble of relocating the camera.

I put mine in the bumper when I had the tailgate mounted camera removed and body work done to get rid of it. It’s a little off center but works fine for me. Plenty of wiring was there to move it down.

Thanks I took everything off but the Mojave decals. I can’t bring myself to do that.

Wasn’t aware Tazer did that. I just moved the Wolfbox to the top of my bed cap hatch. Works much better there as a rearview “mirror” anyway. Provides a clear picture of the idiots on their phone who will rear end me one fine day.
