Taking apart Mopar steel bumper

Okay, before I go doing it wrong, anyone know an easy way to remove the retainers pictured that hold the red tow hooks to the metal plate?

First and biggest PITA is getting those spring clip washers off of the studs.

Screwdriver and hammer, get the screwdriver under the washer and pry them up. Once you get them high enough, tin snips or diagonal cuts and cut those SOB's.

I'd consider them wear items like tree clips. Just tear them off and put new ones on.

That's pretty much what I thought.

They can and will cut you, fast. Be prepared to drink copious amounts of alcohol and to practice your best sailor language.
