I attempted to use my Tazer Mini on my new 2024 JTR that worked fine on my 2022 JTR, and first the Performance menu wouldn't show in order to change tire size and pressure, then after updating firmware it won't connect at all.

The chat support was not useful, so now I have a Tazer that is essentially useless.

Keep it in mind for anyone with a new Jeep, I assume Wranglers as well, and using a Tazer.

I'll keep trying, but it doesn't seem hopeful.

Now I have a Jeep that doesn't shift to spec because I can't change the tire size (33s to 35s).

Hopefully, it's just something about the new Jeep electronics.

Was this a new Tazer JL Mini, or one you moved over from another Jeep?
Because it SHOULD work on a 2024 Gladiator.

Never mind, I see that it was installed on a 2022. You sure you unmarried it from the 2022 before removing it from there?

I didn't unmarry it, since it had the larger tires on it. What then should I do now? I only use it for tire size and pressure.

In the zAutomotive app there is an option to unmarry the tazer. You need to choose that and then get the unmarry key and then contact zautomotive with it to unmarry it.

UnMarry Key

You always have to unmarry the tazer when changing vehicles as it is tied to whatever vehicle you marry it to.

sooooo i guess the REAL price of the tazer is $379 if you want to use it twice ?

Only if you don't unmarry it before removing it from the previous vehicle first.

You should edit your first post too…. As this could lead to someone thinking it is a tazer issue vs marrying issue. ???

Only if you remove it and try to put it in another vehicle without unmarrrying it.

Like others said, only if you are essentially trying to use it in 2 vehicles at the same time.

I personally love my Tazer, and installed it the moment I got home from the dealer with my new Jeep, but if the ONLY thing you want to do is change tire size, virtually every other option is cheaper.
Jscan would probably be the cheapest. Haven't priced it recently, but I'm guessing you could buy the app, cables and adapter for $100-$120 or less. Of course you would still need to spend another $25-35 each time you move it to another vehicle, but still far cheaper than a Tazer just to change tire sizes. AlphaOBD would be maybe another $25 or so more than Jscan upfront, but will do unlimited VINs. Still way cheaper than Tazer.

IMNHO, the only reason to spend the extra $$ a Tazer costs is if you want the extra features a hardware solution like Tazer offers that can not be done with just software.

That's what I did. I went with the Tazer Lite. That's enough for my needs.

2021 Mojave … I am having a similar issue! I adjusted tire size months ago and removed it. Tried to re-install today and now it won’t connect at all.

Flashes green for a few. I turn the vehicle on to run mode and the light goes red does absolutely nothing. Wasn’t sure if an update I would help?
