So I have been having issues with my backup camera for as long as I have had the Tazer. It would have a black screen with the steering lines. I would guess it was 20% of the time. I originally blamed on Jeep because well it's a Jeep. I've had the 3 Honk Kill revert back multiple times. Then on Thursday I took it in for fire recall inspection. They plug in their tool into OBD port when I arrived. 9 hours later they call and say Jeep checked ok. Whatever it shouldn't have taken more than 5 minutes. Anyway, I put it in reverse and camera is black. Then every time for 20 or 30 restarts it went black which had never happened. Then I get out and 3 Honk Kill is not working. I reboot it and 3 Honk Kill is working again. Guess what? So is the backup camera. It has worked every time since. So in my tiny brain, it has to be the Tazer. I need something that can fix my tpms and tire size. 3 Hink Kill is cool, but I rarely need it. Auto start/stop would be nice, but I can just press the button if needed. It will become a habit. I don't use any of the other features. Maybe a ProCal from AEV? Others?

My Winch Mode doesn’t work because I’m in a diesel. They said they were working on a fix 3.5 years ago. Same story every time I call. I gave up.
Same here, I'm still "waiting" for them to fix the diesel winch mode. Even more annoying for me is how wonky the sway bar disconnect function is: it does nothing to raise the threshold at which it will stay disconnected, but an even bigger problem is when it randomly (usually at highway speeds) will disconnect the sway bar all on its own for no reason.

Calls and emails to ZAutomotive have been of no help, so I've pretty much given up on it ever functioning 100% correctly. I'll just appreciate the 90% of it that works right and keep my fingers crossed that someday they'll issue an update that fixes these bugs.

Hopped into it tonight and this is what popped up. So I unmarried the Tazer and rebooted the radio. All is good now. Tomorrow I will remove the Tazer completely.

Stupid question, how can I tell if a tazer or similar device is installed on my 21? No physical evidence of it as I bought it used. The 3 honk has never worked like my wife’s 22. But I don’t see anywhere to disable it, does that option only appear when the tazer is plugged in?

Tazer JL has had an update where the dealership stuff passes through.
Yup, had mine at the dealer a couple weeks ago and they didn't have issues with the SGW. But I haven't updated mine since September of 2025.

Similar problems to what I’ve experienced with my most recent Tazer JL and NoLimitz in my 2025 JTR. After failed updates and navigation not working without resetting the radio after each vehicle restart. I removed both and put them on the shelf. Hopefully someday I will find the patience to attempt another update. So far the updates are not helping my problems. That was a wasted $500 and time installing.
Not sure if you're aware, but they're picky about the exact STAR connector you use, or they won't work.

I've been wanting the NoLimitz, maybe we can work out a dealeo? PM me? You posted it was sitting on a shelf on my Bday haha.

I found on my Tazer it will only connect to the computer if I use the stock USB Cable that came with it. I tried a couple different ones and it would not connect.
THIS, AND you can't use crap quality/low cost cables for high-speed data transfers. This isn't just a power cable, you're toying with a delicate CANBUS system (as @BourbonRunner also stated) and if use cheap crap, you get crap results.
- Also, make sure you're not using a USB HUB, or another breakout device (like USB-C to USB-A adapters or a dock, which 99% of modern computers require).
-- This is the main reason I have a Lenovo T480 for my daily driver, has both USB-C and USB-A ports, and can swap BOTH batteries anytime I want (they're removable), and I run Win10 Pro (only because modern software requires it). That and I can still "multi-boot" ANY OS I choose (Win7/10/Linux/etc).

I don't believe the 21s have the 3 honk from factory. There was discussion on it on forum.
Our 21 Wrangler doesn't do it, but our 22 Gladiator does.
Not sure exactly when it was added.

I use a USB hub connected to a docking station to the computer and haven't had any issues with that. I use the USB hub for everything and have updated the Tazer and NoLimitz with zero issues. The only issues I have experienced is the usb cable not connecting. Once I found the original cable everything worked fine. The website states the usb cable has to be a power & data cable so the other ones I tried might have just been data cables.
I can't get my Tazer to hook to a laptop for updates. I've read a few times on here about having to use the original cable. I don't have one, so maybe that's my issue.
I just sent an email to Zauto to see about getting a new cable.

So I do a full reboot and now I have no back up camera, no radio. Just a blank black screen. The radio popped up with same screen so I reboot the system and radio works again, but the backup camera still doesn't work. Check speedo and it's off by 3mph so I know its unmarried, but the 3 Honk Kill is not working so maybe its still married, but when it says Marry? it can't be married right?

I just want to take this thing out because between the Tazer and whatever my dealership plugged in its F'ed up my entire system. I guess its ok to unplugged now??

I'd go through the unmarry process one more time just to be safe. Then unplug the tazer.
Then I'd suggest maybe a couple quick drive cycles, as in start it drive for a few minutes, shut off, get out. Then do it again. Kinda like running a few errands.
Then see where you are with the camera and such.

Now I will drive for a day or two and if it doesn't give me a black screen again then I know it was the Tazer. So then I will now have to set my tire size and TPMS. ProCal Snap the best??

You can use JScan to do all that. I used Jscan to change the settings and the tazer for the other options.
