Terraflex bump stops

Wondering if the poly terra flex bump stops are a progressive type and what is their total crush height. I want to stop the hard stop that I have with factory bumpstops. .

The Teraflex leveler kit that I installed included bump stops. Assuming these are the same bump stops you're looking at, I think they do have some give under pressure. The bump stops that came with that kit were hard rubber (or similar) cups with center bolts. The bolts will allow movement under pressure should the stops compress.

I want to know this too!! When I do my suspension I’m definitely going to the cool guy bumps. Not sure which brand quite yet though. Has anyone installed on the rear?

I put Timbren SES stops on the back to help fight the squat when towing. Fairly easy install, but more than just push in like the factory style. You have to thread in a bolt. No noticeable change in harshness when unloaded. They just about touch the axle pad but no pressure until we hit something. Pretty invisible in daily life.

For the front, I added Timbren offroad stops. You have to lift the front and remove the springs, one side at a time. A pain but I hope never to have to do so again.

I've had poly shock bushings crack and fail on a previous car, so went with the Timbren rubber style for these bump stops. They supposedly work in sub-zero temps better than poly foam, and last the life of the vehicle.

Anyhow, at this point when I hit a speed bump it's just a thump sound instead of a crash. Mission accomplished.

How was the install?

Not bad. You have to cut the bump stop housing to length with a saw or cut off wheel. Have pictures in my build thread.

Fox makes them. You have to cut the frame and weld in new pieces.

I went with the MC stops. They are progressive and a big improvement from the stock ones. No where near the performance of a hydro but cost was great and install required no cutting. Basically pop out the old and pop in the new.

FWIIW, Teraflex does make progressive bump stops that are more robust than these I posted: https://teraflex.com/jt-progressive-bump-stop-kit-front-rear-0-4-5-lift.html , priced at less then half of the hydro style. They also have hydro bump stop kits. Ultimately, you'll need to decide just how much buffering you want and how often you'll bottom out to choose the level of shock absorption at the extreme travel you'll need

Has anyone tried these, these upgrade over stock? The Teraflex ones - Im leaning on going Teraflex for all the cool upgrades - their cargo rail system good with their bike mount?

My fox 2.0's did not require any welding. Basically the same as the JKS setup, just measure and cut the stock mount location, and the new hydro drops in the tube and gets sandwiched with the adjuster nuts.

I think he was referring to the rears.

I missed that! I honestly have never looked into the rears, because I have never bottomed out the rear.
