I am of the belief that there is no longer any honor in the Car Biz. Once you buy a car, the salesman will only bat an eye if you come back to buy another car. CS is nonexistent in the Car Biz these days. Building relationships mean very little also, since the turn over is so high in dealerships these days. Go the guy that offers the best price. Anyone will service your car since the Factory offers the warranty not the Dealer. After my factory warranty expires, I will not go back to the dealership. The service department accounts for about 35% of the overall revenue at a dealership, I doubt they care about where the car came from. The service advisors work on commission, the more business, the more money they make. The experience has been "enlightening" with Gupton! Order instead of picking off the lot. I plan to make all my future purchases the same way. I believe the dealership model is outdated.I worked for a dealer for 12 years. If a car came in that was bought from another dealership, it was always put to the bottom of the list and then some.
