That is pretty awesome.

Have you looked at adding a connector to something like the Rugged Ridge Snorkel attachment in the corner to be able to connect without opening the hood. Seems like there would be space there to integrate that and it's a short unobstructed throw to get there. Great Job, think I may be ordering soon. :)

Sort of like the Wayout concept but on the other side. (Keep the switch inside though. lol)

This cowling from the wayout concept looks a lot like the 4xe cowling for the plug in Port..

Very easy install in the best location.

I don't have air lockers, so if you use the arb wiring harness with the Aux switches, you only need to connect the small red wire to the Aux switch. The other wires are unused. I used switch 4. The fuse and relay is still in place to handle the high amp load.
I got a question, Iā€™m wondering about something, not an electrictrician...Aux switch 4 has a 15 amp fuse, but the ARB draws 25.2 Amps under load, with a maximum of 32 A....I would think the 40 amp switch number 1 or 2 with the larger gauge wires to handle 32 amps would be better....

U run the red/yellow wire to the aux switch, then u just need a signal, typically no more than 1A. Arb pump has pre-wired harness with 40A fuse and relay. Harness also allows u to run front and rear aftermarket air locker if u choose. Download their manual for full understanding.

Yeah, I have the manual in front of me, trying to figure out install now. Electricity and witchcraft are the same thing to me...

I installed my ARB in the Truck bed. Didn't need the air for lockers. so just for an air supply. Waiting on tank to arrive to install.

Look for red/yellow wire to ignition. That one allows power to run through the switch to turn on/off compressor. Blue/white wire next to it is just to luminate the switch. Not sure on how to bypass the isolation switch tho. IMHO u don't need to run it to an aux switch if one is already supplied.

As stated above, the Aux4 switch just activates the relay so no significant power draw. The main power goes through the 40 amp fuse and then the relay.

Ok, so the pump gets its power from the battery, using the ARB supplied wires and fuses that are sized correctly....
This is my installation. Only used about 2 ft of the provided wiring harness to wire up to the Aux 4 switch.

Any chance this concept piece is in production yet?
Hey, I know this is an old post but what do you all think about using the cowl that Mopar has made for the new Wrangler 4xe ?

Looks a lot like the concept but with a door.

Iā€™ve already reached out to 813 about using his under hood kit with this.

Hopefully the cowl will be available as a part soon.
