I had this kit installed before upgrading to a better suspension system. For me personally it was several reasons why I went with the kit.

For one I wasn't sure if I was going to keep the gladiator since I originally leased it. My thinking was I can always remove it and sell it before returning the jeep if I decide I don't want to keep it.

Another reason was warranty. I didn't want to void the warranty in the event the dealership would not honor any issues the jeep might have. And lastly I got a killer deal on the lift kit since the dealership wanted to move a bunch of 2020 models to make room for 2021 models.

Overall the kit was okay ride quality was similar to stock in my opinion.

I had both the Clayton 2.5" and Mopar lift parts sitting on the garage floor, trying to decide which one to go with. Ended up going with the Mopar for several reasons:

- Warranty was not a factor as I installed the lift myself.
- Wanted to keep the truck as a daily driver and tow friendly.
- Wanted similar stock drive characteristics with a little more lift.
- Wanted a set of springs with a slightly higher spring rate than max tow stock.
- Did not want to mess with adjustable arms, brackets, high driveshaft angles, brake lines.

The Mopar lift met all the criteria and was the easiest path to get a comfortable ~3" lift.

The Mopar ride is very comparable to the AEV lift on my JKU. Smooth and planted on the road.

Having said that, the Clayton springs were hefty and they weigh almost twice as much as the Mopar springs.

The adjustable arms are the only thing on your list of criteria that the Mopar kit doesn't have and the Clayton kit does. There would likely be the same ride height with either installed. There's no extra brackets, brake lines, or drive shaft angles to deal with if you'd chose the Clayton kit. The huge difference is the adjustable track bars, which is the major shortcoming of the Mopar kit.

Love your setup.

Your Mopar lift looks good on the 33s. Do you have a spacer with that lift? I always thought Mopar lift kept the rake in the JT.

Did you also add any additional parts to the suspension? LCAs? Adjustable track bars?

Do you notice any axle shift from the lift?

Thanks.

Thank you. The lift goes well with 33s indeed. No spacers and there is a slight rake of about 1" vs. my original stock rake of 1 5/8".

I added the Mopar front LCAs and kept the stock track bars. I'm also running airbags when towing my camper.

The front axle shifted 1/4" to the driver side. Rear axle shift was minimal at 1/16".

....and my curiosity is....WHY?

Seems to me it's awfully expensive for what it is, what you get, and you could do much better and get way more value with other aftermarket kits.

So why do people even bother with this thing? No judgement, genuine curiosity. I'm new to this and don't understand the appeal beyond brand loyalty.
Purchased my 20 rubicon used from Carmax with 21,000 on the odo, it came with the factory(dealer installed) 2" Lift. Seller probably didn't know it as it's not listed on the build sheet or the from new window sticker. The install was verified by several Mopar part tags on components and stamped part numbers. I didn't mind that they missed it at all. Has 34,000 and change on the odo now after 17 months of trouble free ownership xcept for replacing both batteries back in october.

This thing has been my garage toy and therapy. First came a Mopar 2 inch and 35s with method wheels. Then came a bunch of synergy stuff and Fox 2.5 adjustabes. Now I am doing the synergy springs. The 37s and 4.88s are great. I am sure it's still covered with my 7 year warranty.

Much better price point there...

Did you add any other parts? Track bars?
Adjustable front track bar and upgraded to the Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer. Didn't bother with the rear track bar.
