Don't plan to lift it at all. I will re-gear at some point because the stock 4.10 suck for the bigger tires, but otherwise this is all I have planned.

I'd not lift a Mojave if I were lucky enough to have one. Seems to me the stock suspension does exactly what it was designed to do - plus people say they ride nice, too.

Did you calibrate for your new tire size?

I was prepared to order the Tazer but my speedometer is spot on according to my GPS. It has plenty of power for acceleration, and the low first gear, along with the torque convertor, help with take off but I can't get it to hold 8th gear. If I manually shift it to 8th the engine bogs down on any type of incline and it loses speed.

Agreed, it certainly does ride nice. That was one of the main selling features for me, because I had no interest in lifting it so it had to be ideal right out of the box.

If it had been available when I ordered - it's one I would have considered as it would be more useful in Iowa than Rubicon. But unless this Overland doesn't tow worth a crap, and that's yet to be seen, it's doing what I want so far.
I think my wife remembers my 95 F250 4x4 - and didn't want to get into another truck that was more truck than anything else.
She really likes mine the way it is. (unless it's dirty then she suggests I clean it)

Hey now.... it's a towering 345', thank you very much

LOL - to you both.
Up here we are twice as high (ok, could be a double meaning there) as you down in Florida - 812-940, some as low as about 780. It's HILLY here.

Hah, that's why perspective is everything in this discussion. "35s and 3.73 works fine" is meaningless without it. I'm going to see slightly more than 300 feet of elevation change later this afternoon just to go pick up lunch, no exaggeration.

There's no wrong JT and my wife says the same thing about mine being dirty

This has been a very interesting thread to read. I have the EcoDiesel Willys and am not going to lift it. I put about 40k miles on a vehicle yearly (almost half of that for work) and I wanted better mileage then the Hard Rock gets. Also the wife had a car totaled out from underneath her about 10 years ago and her back has problems so she has to take care just getting in and out of the stock heights. The Hard Rock only has leveling in the front to compensate for the winch.

When the M/Ts wear out on the JT I will put A/Ts on it since it is mostly on the road. Either stock or 285/70-17. The HR will get M/Ts soon but no bigger then 34s. It is now more for play. But I am not a rock crawler.

I played the arms race in the early '80s with a CJ-7. 7" lift and 38s. Although it looked great it honestly wasn't as much fun as it was with smaller tires. Plus what I have found out the more you mess with a vehicle the more you have to mess with a vehicle. I am getting too old for that!

I love this thread because it doesn't condemn me for not wanting to put 37's or 40's on my Gladiator nor want to put a 3" lift or bigger. So tired of reading that 40's is a must if you want to be taken seriously. I've put work into previous Jeeps and it was fun building them, but this time I just wanted to enjoy this vehicle for what it is. Thanks for letting me rant.

You don't have to put 37s and a lift to enjoy your jeep, I swapped out some 33s from a mojave and love the way mine looks and drives now. Nope can't do any real rock crawling, but I live in Florida so sand it is.

Wife just got back from an 8 hour drive back from PA with my son in the Gladiator. I asked her how the drive was and she responded that my truck drives like a dream. Just reinforces my complete disinterest in messing with suspension.

Outside of a possible front end level in the future, mine is staying as is. I like the look of the 33’s, & I don’t do any heavy rock crawling, just getting to hunting/fishing spots & light trail riding. Besides, with a double hip replacement & arthritis in both knees the less climbing the better. Makes it easier to get the grandson in & out of his car seat too.

EDIT: Also, as she sits, it clears the garage door with the top back by 2”.
