Mostly stock Mojave around 14 MPG's on a good day, I don't receive as good fuel economy as others on forum due to very busy urban tourist area - always on the gas and brakes !

Stock sport 3.6L with max tow (4.10 gears). I get about 17 around town. Best I've gotten on the hwy is 24 Dallas to St. Louis with just me in it. But I don't drive over 75.

MPG has a lot to do with your driving habits and where you are. The tires you are using also makes a difference. I typically set my cruise to the speed limit and just go at that pace. These loose a lot of mpg over 65.

In Delaware I get..

20-22 highway depending on season
19-20 around town
9-12 towing between the two travel trailers ive owned

2020 Sport S w/ max tow (4.10 gears and wide axle)
2in lift
255/75/17 Firestone Destination AT2s
100,045 miles so far

If you want fuel economy in a Gladiator the ecodiesel is the engine for you. That will get 28 mpg highway.

But I have heard they can be problematic.
Another thing many fail to mention is the price per gallon delta of gas vs diesel. Sure you might get 15 to 20% better mpg diesel, but you may also be paying that same percent more per gallon at the pump. Add in DEF and more expensive maintenance and they really become close to a wash in commuter driving.

Get the diesel if you're towing a moderate load daily, that's where it shines over the gasser. The argument for rock crawling diesel torque is also diminished by the extra weight of the diesel engine.

Through the 100k threshold and still going strong. Though depending on what the '24 models look like i may be looking to see what I can swing deal wise on a 23 with all the same options I have now.

True!

I have it in my head that if you're going to do 35's or 37's or whatever the diesel will be less negatively impacted by that added unsprung weight, but I base that off 0 science and entirely assumption

I sold a 2015 4Runner Trail and bought a 21 Rubicon Diesel. I get 22mpg city and 27/28 highway.

I liked the 4Runner, but my diesel is more fun to drive. 4Runner was pokey.
