And if my observations are right - the date of the switch isn't clean as Dave and others did some comparing of build dates and it wasn't a clean switch-over.

It was before that, I think either early June or July 2021. My mid July 2021 Willys has the new ECU.

As @ShadowsPapa said, it does not appear to be a clean in sequence break in of the new ECU as someone after that claims a August 2021 build date with the earlier ECU.

It appears to not be common. Can't say I've heard of it until the OP posted here and I found a TSB dating back to March saying they were looking into it.

It's not a huge number, not recall-worthy, but they want to get it addressed.

I have it shown in my Jeep app. Went to Mopar and it shows for my VIN too.

They want to get ahead of it........... and I don't blame them, and if it impacted me, I'd want it fixed NOW.
you may not experience the issue, but hey, if my truck went into that limp mode on a busy interstate around here at drive home time, especially around the area between the east mix-master and Altoona, I'd be pretty unhappy........

If it actually happening to drivers was even just sort of common the internet would be abuzz and swearing it's ALL Gladiators LOL, but then it's not like an annoying sound or a water leak - I'm not in the range of the impacted Jeeps, but if my VIN was - I'd be sitting at the dealership at 6:30 tomorrow morning to make sure I was first in line ;-)

Great, they're supposedly building my 2022 now - I hope they have a crate of the PCMs with the new code sitting next to my truck as it's being built

I just ran my VIN on MOPAR & I'm also affected, manufacture date 9/21.

Looks like mine isn't affected, at least nothing yet. Build date 12/21

I just got off the phone with Pat Murphy Jeep here in Durango, CO. I was advised they were aware of this Satisfaction Campaign & had performed this update with no problems. I am scheduled for Aug. 4th due to heavy service schedule t the dealership.
