Agreed. The JT and tj must stay. Unless it’s a really special Mercedes.
In principle it is a piece of xxxx, US spec with only 160 HP. But somehow I like it.
But if I could swap it to a Comanche ... ;)

What's your favorite throwback pics of rigs you used to have (or still do)?

This is my 98 XJ. Still have her. 4.5" Rusty's lift, bumper and sliders. Ford Disc 8.8 rear end. re-geared to 4.56 locked front and rear on 35" Goodyear MT/Rs. I need to do an SYE and get a new driveshaft for her. 183K on the odometer.

'87 SporTruck short box loaded with accessories, lights, 10 Alpine speakers including 2 big subs in a custom box behind the seats (I found carpet fabric to match the original and mounted the jack and handle on top of the box, tried to make it look factory)
Two Alpine amps under the seats.
4.0 with 5 speed, 4x4, tow package, running boards and more.
Wish like heck I still had this thing.

NOT Jeep related, but from the company that owned Jeep back then - my first brand new car - '77 Hornet/AMX. 258, 5 speed, flaming hornet decals on hood and hatch. My first car with AC, PS and PB! Whoooo-hoo! Man, I was set!

Otherwise, if I dug through old photos, boxes of them, I could come up with a whole string of Jeeps - mostly 90s Cherokee, then a string of Grand Cherokees, ZJ, WJ, including the 2004 WJ Special Edition I bought from Dad's estate after he was killed by a sleeping driver.
I should have kept it but it was sitting too much and I had too many vehicles.

Particularly fine AMC tastes evident. I love the Cherokee Utes. Real special things. And the AMX pic is epic. What a sweet ride. AMC well ahead of the times on both fronts

Yeah, they'd have been a few years ahead of the 4x4 car bit had the board accepted the engineers' ideas - the board finally said yes.

It's not a Jeep, but came from the same company, used similar transfer case, same transmission in this case (T5) and this led to the unibody Jeeps (Cherokee, etc.)

Right below the red tow hook. It's bent right there a little. But that is the overall shape of the chin. It's raised in the middle.

My 84 and 88 Broncos. Ran the 84 into the ground, then bought the 88 in 20010 and restored it. I sold the 88 to buy my Gladiator. Funny thing is, the guy I bought the 88 from now has my old 84, and has restored it. I had a 75 CJ5, but traded it in on the 84. (Bought it brand new). I only got one pic of it back in the day, and I have no idea where it is now
