Hi all! There are A LOT of tonneau options on the market in a wide range of prices. I probably don't have to be $300 guy, but I know I am not $3000 guy either. I am looking at a couple of combos and would love any feedback you have. BedRug Full Liner and Gator EFX (1165), Weathertech techliner and Backflip G2 (1070), or the LOMAX cover/bed mat combo for 1068. Trying to keep it around 1k for a liner/cover solution. If LOMAX is to be believed, this deal is about a 20% discount from usual, though they might always be 20% off. Thanks again!

Mopar soft tri fold, good quality had it for couple of years now with no issues. No fading, leaks a little if parked in heavy rain, but nothing major. I like that it mounts clean with no extra hanging hardware or c lamps. What I don’t like is you can not fold it completely or stand it up, has to be removed if you want to use the whole bed.

I do IT stuff so I can buy Jeep stuff.
I went with Bakflip x4s - I looked at tri-folds but they all seemed to block the entire rear window when folded up. I still get a little bit of visibility over the top of the x4s when I have it rolled up.

If you want to go ultra budget while you decide on a long term investment I picked up a new Odero soft rollup cover from a reseller on ebay. Got the recommendation from another forum member to use the one marketed as the colorado cover as its the exact same size but cheaper than the one they market as the gladiator cover. https://www.ebay.com/itm/254356227444

I would consider it as acceptable quality for the price point. Though it is a temporary solution for me while I sort out a full bed cap.

Probably not going to like my answer then. Not quite the $3k range you say you want to stay away from but pretty close at around like $2200. But in my opinion..... Best tonneau covers in the game. Arguably the best addition to my truck.

Diamondback HD.

I went with the Gator soft trifold. Works great, bed stays dry. Purchased directly from Gator. As stated by @WoolyKriyou have to remove to use the full bed. Mine has not faded or degraded over the 3 years I've had it on. I do park in a carport though.

I have the diamondback. Saw a truck with a rolled up cover hauling a small fridge. I was for real jelly. Haha

I do need to be able to stand on the cover to load my bikes. I'm still looking for a solution that has t-slots, hard trifold and get to keep my bed rails. So far, that combo is a unicorn. Hah

I bought an eBay/Amazon soft tri gold cover just to keep eyes out of my bed. It was 140 bucks. If I had to do it again I’d probably buy the cheapest hard tri fold cover available. In my situation, no need for extravagant materials or bells and whistles. Just need something to cover the bed.

I went with a hydrid.

https://www.amazon.com/Rugged-Ridge-13550-23-Rolling-Gladiator/dp/B07TVQDNTC

Pros:
- Doesn’t flop around like a trash bag in the wind.
-Provides some level of security since it can’t be easily cut through.
- Can be rolled up without blocking your view unlike like a trifold. Not every load blocks your view, but you might need a little more which a roll up allows. With a trifold it’s all or nothing with no rear visibility.

Cons:
- Cant hold weight like a diamondback. But it’s not designed to either.

So far after a year of owning it’s done fine. No fading and leaking.

I did not want a cover for my bed, I use it too often. However at $387.00 when I bought it and it sat in my "Cart" for over a year @ Amazon and had a few extra dollars to use . . .

Fit and finish is good, no water in the bed, though if you really want to seal it, make sure you do around the tailgate. I can see the latch handles being an issue, possibly. If they were to break it would be because they were over tightened. I did find that they need to be lightly snug, not cranked. No issues if at top speeds of the truck.

I looked at it as, for the price, I can take it off and leave it off and not reminisce about spending over a grand for a brand name. So far It has stayed and I have used the bed for many things, including people.

Personally I want one of the soft tonneaus that folds up as a soft topper.

Can't remember any brands but I do remember seeing one on here recently.

I've got a topper, but want to comment on the liner. If you don't plan to haul things like gravel and sand, the BedRug is awesome. I really love it. I usually haul my dog, household crap, bikes, skis, and things like that. If I am hauling motorcycles, rocks, dirt, I use my 5x8 utility trailer.

Do you have the mat, or the full on bedrug?

I've got a spray in liner with a weathertech roll up cover, great combo and I really like the build quality of the weathertech cover.
