Too Many Tie Downs?

i do like that as well except that they stick out and you cant fold them down.

You could use the ones you have with unistrut bolts with rail.

What is there to keep the bolts from pulling out?

The factory holes are threaded. They are attachment point for the trail rail. I went with Built Right aftermarket rails a d some screw eyes a d strut hardware to have moveable tie down points.

Here's all the tie downs... not mine but I really like this idea. Kinda pricey though.

That aircraft style seat track is very flexible from a configuration of items you can attach. You can move the fittings that attach to the track in seconds. After the track is mounted, you can place as many fittings as you need, and they can be moved in 1" increments. The attached fittings are very strong. Working Load Limits over 1000 pounds, with assembly breaking strength at 4000 pounds or more. The fasteners you use to mount the rail to the bed will be the weak link.

There is a nut and washer fixed to the other end that the bolt threads into. I did this on mine too. Not that I expect the tie downs to hold a lot of weight in place, but lighter items, or used as secondary support to the tie down spots that come with the truck, these tie downs will do fine

Well I'd have to tear the side of the bed apart to confirm the sides unless someone knows better, but I'd think it would be safe to assume so. These are the same points that the trail rails are secured to, so they have to be at least a little sturdy

No need to do that for little old me. It makes sense if they’re the trail rail holes.

I have this same liner and wanted to install either this solution or the OEM trail rails or built right rails. How did you find exactly where the holes are and what did you use to make the holes in the liner?

Appreciate any info since you already implemented this.

There are little dimples in the liner that roughly correspond to the holes in the bed. I used a step drill bit and opened the holes in the bedliner to abut 3/8" - 1/2". The triangular tie downs have a wide enough flange to cover the larger hole. I also took a piece of chalk and made marks on the side rail covers just to verify their (the threaded holes in the bed) locations.
