That looks nice, but expensive. I made something similar using a Harbor Freight engine hoist and a ten foot piece of unistrut.

would love to see some pictures of this. been looking to make a mobile top removal solution for some time, this sounds ideal

This is the only picture I could find. I used the salt and kitty litter for ballast to keep it from tipping, since I was using it to lift the cap which weighed about 210 pounds. It should be fairly easy to rig it for use to remove the hard top.

I couldn't justify it for a grand, but I"m a big boy. Worse case if I don't have my garage I can get the top off myself. I built a removal system using some eye bolts and spare hardware in my garage for about $20.

Mine was almost free, using Harbor Freight straps and a come along. The top weighs only 58-60 pounds.

Went to menards, got a kayak hoist mounted it on the ceiling with 2x4's. Used a hammock strap to span across the front with Anchor points from harbor freight ($9.99) in each hole. Have a tie point on the wall next to where i park

I really like your solution. My truck won't fit in the garage anymore and even when it did, I have a bedroom over it so its low ceilings. This is perfect. thanks!

The only issue I have with all the ceiling mounted options, is the garage is for my wife's car, and the lawn tractor...
