I have what appears to be a tow package on my jeep. It’s a 80th anniversary but I can’t find the window sticker so can’t verify. If it is in fact a tow package, any links or guidance on getting a receiver mount for it? I want to mount my 2” bike rack for a upcoming trip. Any help would be great, thanks!

You are fine. Add this little part, take the time to pull your bumper so you don't have to cut a hole, and have fun. This is more than adequate for a bike rack. I use it to tow a 2,000lbs camper. You have a factory tow package of sorts, it just doesn't have a receiver. The factory intent is you would cut a small hole in the plastic bumper, and add a ball to the bumper/hitch. You still have full lights, and everything you need for light use.

I’m not sure I agree. I get that the frame mount usually exists. But I haven’t seen one with the electrical. Was this used? I’m thinking the previous owner removed the receiver for ground clearance reasons.
Nope, brand new in Nov 20’. I have never need to tow or use a hitch on this truck so never even looked

Interesting. Weird that they’d put electrical, but I’d be happy about it. Add the receiver and you’re good to go with a 4,500 towing capacity. Bike racks are a non issue.

If you had a max tow it will be listed under optional equipment

Thanks. No factory towing and definitely no max tow package. But you can still add the receiver in an hour or two and safely have a rating of 4,500. But I’d try to stay under 3,500.

Trailer-Tow Package is listed under optional equipment. It lists a class IV receiver hitch and trailer-hitch zoom on my window sticker.
