Towing lift kits

Hello there,

been looking around at lifts for my Gladiator and have found that most seem to be focused on esthetics and ride but leave out towing. What I mean by this is, they all level out the truck and when you're towing you need the extra height in the rear to level out the trailer sag or else your truck will be motor boating with the headlights pointed in the sky.

My question is, is there a lift kit out there at least a little focused towards towing? I saw somewhere AEV is developing one but so far it hasn't been released.

The Mopar lift maintains the vehicle rake.

Assuming you have a max tow and want to maintain the factory rear springs and rake the AEV spacer lift would be idea as it lifts the front and rear the same amount. Most lifts increase the front quite a bit more than the rear.

My fabtech sport 2 maintained the rake. I tow a 5200lb travel trailer with cargo in the bed with ease and it sits level.

No I don't have the max tow. It's an eco-d with the run of the mill tow pack.

Clayton looks solid as always but just took a look at JKS. I'm pretty impressed with not only their kit but how simple the customization options are on their website. Here's a pic of their "3-3.5" kit from their website and it appears to keep the factory rake. You guys tell me what you think?!

Outside of Mopar, I am not aware of any other company that has released a kit to compensate for the additional weight of the Diesel yet.

Not exactly an answer to your question but have you considered a weight distribution hitch for towing?

I see folks installing leveling kits, and I'm flabbergasted...
Why put a leveling kit in an unladen truck? If you're not gonna used it as a truck, get a Wrangler!

I have a max tow and I went with the iron rock off road 2 in spacers. Love the feel of the ride and it keeps the rake I need for towing.

Which ever lift you go with id personally suggest steel spacers for a spacer lift. The poly ones are nice but they degrade over time. Anecdotally speaking I think the steel spacers are a better option than others out there. I was also told years ago that if you intend to tow be very careful of the lift you choose as the companies say their springs are good for towing, but often are not.

Not exactly an answer to your question but have you considered a weight distribution hitch for towing?

Absolutely. Have a Curt trunnion style.
