Moving from LA to CO and it's looking like Uhaul doesn't like the idea of a F-250 diesel pulling my Gladiator on a auto transport. Does anyone have experience with this? Is this possible? I know Uhaul can be completely incorrect at times. Maybe it has something to do with the wheelbase?

And vehicle weight. They’re strict with it. Not that the 250 doesn’t have the capacity; the trailer doesn’t. I’d look into flat towing

The numbers for using their vehicle trailers are strange.

I could tow an F-250 4x4 on one behind one of their straight trucks. But they wouldn't let me tow a Chevy Z-24 on one behind the F-250.

?

It's like 40 bucks a day so in theory you could say you are renting it for a civic bring it home and test it. Now if you get caught or something happens...
IIRC they aren't very long. I don't know if a Glady would fit without hanging off the back a bit.

Buy your own trailer and sell it when you get to CO. Uhaul doesn't like jeeps.

You're right - I towed my WK2 on one and it filled it end to end side to side - and it's ~18" shorter than the JT.

Happened to pass a guy with a Uhaul with a recent grand Cherokee on it this morning. His back wheels were almost at the end. Def too short for Glady.
