I did a tire rotation last Friday. Just a normal 4 wheel rotation, no changes to tires, sensors, etc.

I'm getting a bizarre glitch where the TPMS light flashes at startup (with a chime) and then goes solid.

The tire display goes back and forth periodically between not being able to sense the driver's side rear tire (formerly passenger side front) and reading it perfectly, but still showing the TPMS warning light. I've done the driving reset that's been mentioned.

This week, the temperature dropped, so I inflated the tires more to get them back up to the 36psi on the door jamb (including the spare, just for good measure).

What am I missing or doing wrong?

I recently had the same issue on my '19 Ram (50K miles, lift and 37" tires) before AND after a tire rotation, the issue followed the tire to its new location. My dealership said it was likely a failing sensor, not particularly related to specific pressure or temperature. I brought it in twice, and the last time it was actually working by the time I got there.
But it was good that it happened, because while at the dealership, I made the decision to trade it for my new Gladiator. Problem solved.

I know a guy that trades truck every time it comes time for new tires.
