I am buying a new JT Sport with the added option of the Trac–Lok® Anti–Spin Rear Differential. Anyone have any experience with this and is this a pretty good system for keeping both rear wheels turning when in slippery conditions? I know it is not a true rear locker, however it sounds like limited slip differential.
Thanks!

I've got it and absolutely love it. Honestly, for almost every situation (particularly everyday driving) other than when you just straight up need a locker on the trails, I'd prefer it. It's a very consistent unit. The extra traction is always there.

I've had multiple limited slip diffs over the years in different trucks/cars, and I'm very pleased with the one in the Gladiator. But, I can also be a big kid at times, and it's just fun to be able to kick the back end out when feeling frisky ;)

I had the same differential in my 2016 JK. I wheeled it all over the country (Moab, Arizona, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia) and it always did what I needed.

Bought my Gladiator with the Max Tow package and it came with Trac-Lok as well. Sure it will do fine there too.

I have this in mine, and haven't needed a locker yet

In fact, it works well enough that if I do add lockers I will only add a front one

I'm glad, because I gave up getting a Gator and got BSM instead just because of the LSD

Thanks Andrew! Can you please explain "Gator" and "BSM" please? Sorry about not knowing...

20+ years and 100K+ miles on mine in a Ram pickup. Still works.

I like a limited slip diff. Makes a difference every time it rains. If the one in the JT goes out I'll replace it with a geared one.

Have the rear limited slip differential (LSD) on my Sport S EcoDiesel. Even with the electronic stability control (ESC) turned off and lead foot delivering over 400ft lbs + of torque it keeps the rear wheels well planted in most scenarios. The off-roading I have done so far is pretty tame, but if I were to decide to get a locker it would probably be only for the front as well, for me the on-road manners you get with LSD are way too beneficial to give up since most of my travels are on pavement. Yes the ESC accomplishes similar results but LSD does it better/smoother without cutting power or breaking, which can be disadvantageous in many driving situations.
