Track bar help

With the Mopar lift the front axle has shifted to the driver’s side by about 3/4”, I knew going in that this may be the case.

I am now looking at track bars but not sure which design is the best or if there are any issues between the two. I have seen where some have a jam nut and others are clamps. I would like to be able to adjust the length while installed and not have to disconnect an end to adjust. I do not do major rock crawling or extreme off road.

Also, I keep seeing posts on the Synergy track bar brace, is it really necessary? Yes I have wondering issues at hi-way speed especially with wind but no worse than my prior JLUR.

Help would be appreciated again.

There’s a few choices when it comes to track bars. Yes there’s jam nut or clamp style. My preference is the clamp style, easier to wrench down than the jam nut, IMO. I’m personally doing steersmarts stuff but others, ie jks, evo, synergy, MC, etc etc are good too.

if you are looking at doing the synergy brace, be careful of the teraflex bar. The lobe end goes on the frame side and has been confirmed that it interferes with the synergy bracket.

I bought the synergy trackbar and it’s awesome major difference between stock and that one. I’m basically the same setup as you. I still get some highway wandering but nothing I’m not used too by now

Plus 1 on clamps. I went with the Rubicon Express Heavy Duty Track Bar and am happy with it. It’s extremely solid, and that’s what you want.

I ended up purchasing the Synergy track bar and brace, I will put the track bar on first and monitor to see if I feel I need the brace.

I also have the Mopar lift on my JTR. If the lift caused the suspension to shift given the non-adjustable track bar, wouldn’t the same issue exist in the rear? I’ve always wondered about this as I see many posts about replacing the front track bar with an adjustable version, but none about the rear? Anyone, anyone? Bueller?

(To be read in a Ben Stein voice) The rear typically isn’t lifted quite as much as the front to eliminate the factory rake, and the rear factory axle-side mount is higher than it is on the front already. This allows the arc of the rear track bar to stay closer to stock, not requiring an adjustable bar in many cases. In others, the lift kit comes with a rear bracket. You can’t just throw a track bar bracket on the front without also reconfiguring your drag link geometry.

whats everyone's thoughts on Rusty's Off-Road track bar, it's the same tubing size as synergy, and about $120 cheaper. I understand the difference in the bushings which makes Synergy a longer lasting product (supposedly) but that's a pretty big price difference.

i looked at it and decided for the money, you can protect both the trackbar mount and the sector shaft with the synergy’s unit. If you feel that all you want to stiffen up is the trackbar mount by all means get the rustys or even look at the steersmarts unit, but synergy decided to make the extra sector shaft brace part and so far it’s been helping the steering issues.
