Truck Covers USA Tonneau: Pros and Cons?

I have the X4, but it does have the T Slot on the side rails outside the tonneau. I am looking for a solution that fits in those T Slots and is easy on and off, as I don't want a rack all the time. The perfect rack for me would be a height adjustable set of crossbars that could carry a canoe that extends over the cab and an empty stokes basket just high enough that I could roll up the tonneau.

This would fit everything except the height adjustable part, but you can get it in many different heights. The mount as far as I know will go directly into the T-slots, but I don't know how easy on and off it will be. I'm doing a full height rack and hoping I can mount my spare and still roll the tonneau up. Should be able to with a 23" rack height.

Update for anyone interested in the TCUSA cover and racks…

I purchased the bed cover (without Yakima rails pre-installed) in January and recently purchased TCUSA’s newly released HD rails for self installation. These HD rails allow installation of larger, taller racks (Yakima HD Outpost and Overhaul) with an adapter that can be purchased through TCUSA. This might be a great option for those who want to set their RTTs up a bit higher. Attached is their new brochure that has some pictures of the HD setup. I personally went with the lower Skyline towers but plan to get one of the higher racks in the next year or two.

Pro-tip: TCUSA offers amazing prices on Yakima products. I was able to get the HD rails, skyline towers, 60” HD cross bars, and required accessories for roughly 30% off…and that included having to pay S&H.
