Not blaming you at all, but judging the rest of the image I take it you don't wash your truck regularly?
Also, I see you're in Orlando, have you taken any trips up north?
Even if you have taken some trips up north, it shouldn't rust that quickly....

I had the bubbling paint issue on the front edge of my hood. Just one very small spot, hardly noticible. I found that different dealerships will give you different amounts of grief about it. Some just want to repaint the existing hood. Others will replace it. One dealership here didn't even agree with their paint guy. He told them he wouldn't repaint without a replacement hood. Said it was a cross-contamination issue between the aluminum outer skin and the steel inner skin. That dealership just blew me off. The second dealership replaced the hood entirely-no questions asked.

Have them check your hinges too! We are having the same issue with ours; warranty appointment is in October.

My wife's JL has this on all of the hinges and the hood. Local dealership we take our Jeeps to for service won't even take it because they are so backed up with this issue. Really has nothing to do with not washing it enough.

sorry man, this happened to my 2020 JL, started on bottom of doors, then was around hinges, tailgate. Just what Average Joe was saying re: issues. when I took it in for body shop dealership appt *( 2month-long wait). guy took 5 minutes to check it out, and he declined to fix, shop so backed up w/ this issue, said he couldn't even get to his own customers. good luck.

Common issue ... not a didn't wash your truck issue. Edges on both sides of my hood bubbled within first 6 months. Dealership body shop took care of it under warranty. No issues since.

That's why I keep my JT in the garage except for sunny days. Jeeps were designed to never get wet. lol. Built with rust and leaks.

This is not related to how often you wash your rig. Its more an issue with the hood not being completely clean and the lack of a good wash with something like Alodine in this spot when first painted. Aluminum has a real issue with this. And aluminum and steel are some of the worst things to put next to each other. Its going to take a strip and repaint to get it right, or a new hood. Take a look at your local airport and your going to see this on a lot of aircraft along there seams. Just a small abrasion before paint will get this started.

Every Jeep dealer is your dealer. Don't let them off that easy. They all have a bottom line but it doesn't need to be just because you didn't buy the rig thru them. I am old and cranky but a little but of saying that your happy to go out on the showroom floor and let everyone know that they are getting in bed with a dealer that won't fix you rig seems to clear everyone out real fast. Most will see the value in getting you happy and fast!

Squeaky wheel gets the grease... I've got 10 CDJR dealers in a 50 mile radius from me and will go outside the radius if need be to get an issue resolved. So far, the one I've dealt with has been great but I'm not loyal in any way to them if they start playing games.

Rust is Rust, it is covered under the factory warranty portion of the warranty. All being said, Jeep dealer service department for some reason think they can put you off, especially if you didn't buy it from them. I would find a dealership with a body shop, as many have to send it out for repair, and it becomes just another pain for them. I was a body shop for a large DFW Chevrolet dealer, and we repaired everything that was covered under the factory warranty for customers, any dealer turning down repairs paid for by the factory is throwing money out the door, I got paid on total body shop commission and I like money. I will say here if the dealership does not have a body shop the manufacture would only get paid a small profit on the claim, were if the repair is done at the dealership they get the full amount of the repair. I think this can be your problem, call Jeep Factory Warranty and ask for there help on this matter.
