I don't think we will see actual invoice prices until the order/build banks open (especially for all models/options). From the JL forums builds, I'm assuming (relative to MSRP) 95.3% for base vehicle, and 89% for options.

Can some one post invoice numbers. 7% below invoice =?~12 to 13% below Msrp? I think that is what it worked out can someone confirm. .? Question when you pay sales tax you are paying on the discounted price. Correct ? Not the msrp. Correct
This is my guesstimate for the Launch Edition build. 7% number is at the bottom. Again, based on JL forum, discount vehicles with option, then add destination & dealer fees (which aren't discounted).

If you get a base vehicle with no options, then price below invoice will be a smaller percentage than if you load up options. Straight Rubi with no options it's about 11% under MSRP before destination charges, dealer fees, tread lightly, etc. (assuming similar invoice pricing % to the JLs). For the LE, 7% under invoice is about 13% under MSRP.

Sales/use tax is at the purchase price regardless of if you paid over, at, or under MSRP (MSRP has no bearing on tax).

Does anyone disagree that this is the Launch Edition build?

I think the only questions are:
  • the LE specs don't specifically mention heated steering wheel (part of cold weather group ADE)
  • Both Trailer Tow and Cargo Management include 240A alternator (so some cost savings there)
  • Included a $645 Launch Edition difference (wheels, dash, badge) to get to the advertised MSRP
Assumptions:
  • Invoice pricing is unknown, but based on similar JL builds on the JL forum (95.3% of base vehicle, 89% of options)
  • Any discounts under invoice would be applied first, then destination charge added
  • Doesn't include taxes/licensing (varies state to state) or any charges associated with getting discounts (i.e. dealer doc fees, tread lightly, etc.)

If anyone happens to speak to Kent, can you ask him if the special pricing is available on the Launch Edition? I don't have my hopes up but I'll absolutely get one if he'll do the same pricing. Haven't seen a response to my email from Sunday yet so I'm just waiting.

My Colorado dealer said absolutely no to any discounts. Apparently there are enough people willing to pay full MSRP or above that they don’t need my below invoice sale. Hopefully Kent can get back to me, I don’t mind driving to ID to save a few grand.

Same boat with planning to order a LE. Kent's been great with exchanges for the last several months, but seems to have gone radio silent since prices were announced (hasn't responded to a couple of e-mails as well as a phone call). I'm sure he's getting hammered and still doesn't have all the info to respond.

I'm sure. I certainly don't want to be a problem customer but obviously we all are looking for info here. My contact at LHM Sandy told me he's leaving his dealership so I'm starting from scratch with the local people and would much rather just wrap it all up with Kent at this point.

Let me know how it goes with them. I'm starting to worry there are more of us than Kent can handle and Vegas is just as close as Boise for me.

Are you saying Kent Shurtleff at Peterson Dodge Jeep is leaving the dealership... So we all need a new contact? Or do I have the wrong guy or wrong dealership?

No no, I'm saying my guy here in Utah is leaving so my only contact now is Kent at Peterson.

Sorry if that was confusing. And when I say wrap it up with Kent, I mean buy from him.

Lol, no worries, it makes sense now. People were talking about Kent being on radio silence and i thought you were saying it was because he was leaving. Crisis averted.

Yeah that would've been some bad news for a lot of us.

warning FIRST TIME POSTER alert :)

I have reached out to Kent via text, email and phone and no luck. I have a membership with treadlightly now and also have my control number from FCA. I reached out to another dealer in Idaho, they said 1000 over invoice on the Launch Edition plus a doc fee a prep fee a window tint fee. I asked about the 1% off invoice deal and he was not familiar with it. He has never had someone use a treadlightly membership in the 7.5 years he has been there. I also have reached out to a friend here at a local Jeep dealer also.

The Colorado dealers have been a pain in the ***. I'm up to 16 that I am dealing with and very few have been helpful. Flower Motor in Montrose so far has been the best, without discussing FCA Affiliates she was offering invoice. I sent each dealer a build for a Sport and a build for a Rubicon, and requested order sheets for both once order banks are open and they can give me accurate numbers. They had a call with their business district today and four of the dealers emailed excited to tell me about the Launch Edition on the 4th . At this point, I feel like that episode of Seinfeld where every doctor in the state has a note in the file not to treat Elaine. I will share with everyone if I have any luck the next few days with a dealer in Colorado.

The response from Vegas

I spoke with my GM and as of now we will not be offering any discounts or promotional pricing for the Gladiator. Our prices will be $2000 over MSRP for the time being due to the limited availability. We would love to earn your business and help you in any way possible. Thank you for your time.

This is why I am going out of state, not sure emailing all the local dealers is worth my time. Did you contact the Jeep dealer in Ft Collins?
