Hey Max I may have missed it but what year is your JT? Reason I’m asking the 23’s are not routed the same as previous years I also have a 21 JLUD that was routed close by and I fixed it a preventive Measure. My vehicle is currently sitting in the Shop with this same exact problem. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/jtrd-broken-in-tx.82550/page-3#post-1360796. I was able to drive it from Dallas back to ABQ. My DPF was not full but I was getting the warning this was confirmed at the dealership. They are replacing the DPF sensor said it was bad. By chance on your trip would you feel your vehicle get really hot for a few mins every couple hundred miles?
No “get really hot for a few mins” no issues with temperature. Truck ran fine after clearing codes, taking in for checkup.

You will not get a notification for regens on the dash. You need something like a Banks iDash gauge. With that, you will see when it goes into regen. Plus you can clear codes with it.

With “passive regen” turned on and “active regen” turned off will regens ever happen? Passive simply assumes driving long distance will burn off soot.

I think that is what happened, my active regen is off so regens are not happening therefore too much accumulation.

I would highly recommend anyone wanting to learn more about diesel emissions check out “ oreillys autos” on YouTube. He is a mobile mechanic in the UK that seems to be the DPF wiz. System is not really that complicated but it amazes what can stop proper functioning.
ie outdoor ambient temperature sensor mounted in the mirror of the Fiat Dacato( Ram Promaster).

2021 Diesel Glady. 55k, never once seen a regen status on the cluster. This is one of those situations why I recommended to everyone to keep a simple OBD reader in their car (any car). I like the Blue Driver unit.

AOG I have a 21 JLUD and have 35000 trouble free miles. now with my JTRD with only 8000 miles it makes me really hesitant to get the recall completed. Maybe its just in my head but my JT had the recall completed at the factory and has been in the dealership three times now.

Mine will do that. Feels like the AC cycles off for a bit.

With the iDash gauge. It show you if you are in active or passive regan. I get an active regen between 700 to 1000 miles.

I noticed mine doing it on my recent trip to TX, The trip before to AZ it didn't shut off and feel super hot. Shortly after I have several CEL come on.

During long drive times with the recirc on, the system will briefly open the outside air vent every 45 to 60 minutes.
Good To know Mr. Bill. Strange enough I never use the Recirc ever on any of my vehicles.

There is a harness that can get overheated, Routed too close to a heat source.
Not sure where it is or the fix, but I believe it causes some of your symptoms.
Heat reflective tape could t hurt. Where is this cable?
