I use a very short cable, but I have no idea the kind of quality it is. What cable are you using?I'm fairly certain it's the extended length cable and any adapters they use to run the USB2 port to the center console: both of these things can cause reduced data transfer rates and cause Carplay/AndroidAuto to disconnect. I have the absolute newest and fastest transfer rate USB cable for my android, and that was the only way to get my USB2 port working for my android auto 99% of the time. Every once in a while I get a screen flicker, but no longer totally disconnects like it did with OEM phone cable.
