I'm fairly certain it's the extended length cable and any adapters they use to run the USB2 port to the center console: both of these things can cause reduced data transfer rates and cause Carplay/AndroidAuto to disconnect. I have the absolute newest and fastest transfer rate USB cable for my android, and that was the only way to get my USB2 port working for my android auto 99% of the time. Every once in a while I get a screen flicker, but no longer totally disconnects like it did with OEM phone cable.
I use a very short cable, but I have no idea the kind of quality it is. What cable are you using?

I use a very short cable, but I have no idea the kind of quality it is. What cable are you using?
@JRobes please, provide a link where we can get one of these magic cables. My center console has not worked for CarPlay since day 1. I would love to get a magic fix, because Jeep has clearly stated they have no intention of fixing this defect!
