USB Ports and AA Wireless Adapters

How do you all navigate the USB ports being on for an hour with a wireless connection device... AA or Carplay

I think AA has a setting that will turn it off when the BT connection of the Uconnect disconnects from your phone, but I'd have to double check to be sure.

I wouldn't usually either but my truck is in the garage and my phone keeps telling me it is connected to the truck. Constantly for the next hour, and even longer if I just open the door for something

Can confirm that AA has a setting that turns off the port once the phone's BT connection with the vehicle is terminated. I replaced all of my Motorola MA1 dongles with AA for this exact reason.

Worse yet, the wifi network created by the Motorola dongle, which is strictly local and not connected to the internet, would stay connected to my phone and prevent it from automatically connecting to my home wifi. A wifi connection with no internet connection would temporarily override my cellular data, meaning you coulan't access anything on the phone. Eventually the phone would switch to cellular data because wifi wasnt working. Until I switched to AA, I had to either manually unplug the Motorola dongle each time I exited my cars, or manually change my phone's wifi connection every time I walked in the house. AA all the way!

Yes. You get everything connected and working. Then open the app and there is a setting to turn off when head unit turns off.

Works everytime. Fires right up and shuts right off.

Just ordered that one! I ordered the Ottocast A2air yesterday, but then read this thread. I don't want any issues, and I can't find out if the Ottocast does the same thing as the AAWireless. I am not taking any chances, AAWireless it is, Ottocast is getting returned as soon as it comes in!
