Sorry to bump this old thread but I just got an AA wireless adapter and tried the seeing fit it to disconnect when Bluetooth disconnects and I'm not quite sure it's working.

When it disconnects there is still solid white light on the dongle that didn't go off. Does that light always stay on? I'm concerned that it may drain battery or something.

No worries, that is what the threads are here for...

I have had mine since February and I have no battery issues. The USB port power does stay on for some amount of time but I cannot remember how long. It does shut off though.

How do you all navigate the USB ports being on for an hour with a wireless connection device... AA or Carplay

Since this popped up I use an inline USB switch to turn it off. Also helps since sometimes it will glitch out and I can easily turn it off and back on while driving with the flip of a switch.
