It has been cold, but the truck has a one-year old main battery and a couple months old Aux Odyssey battery, so I don't think it's an issue with available current.

I went and pulled the fuses on my lunch and they look good, but I will check them for continuity tomorrow on my day off. The annoying thing is that after checking the fuses the radio has no audio. It still powers up and seems fully functional, but there's no sound.

I'm going to spend some time with the shop manual tomorrow, but this is starting to feel like a failing computer.

During a critical loadshed, only emergency audio will work. But you should have a message too. Power for the radio is from the pcm, but also the bcm. I would look for codes. Do you have an inverter (115vac)? That would not work if it is loadshedding. Hvac controls would be limited as well. I just don't know what shuts down first During the power saver on mode. The book only tells what shuts down during the critical state mode.
HVAC is working correctly, so is the heated seat and steering wheel. I will check the inverter in the back seat. I have an OBD code reader and I will see what it says.

Looks like a replacement BCM is about $300, that's not as bad as I feared.

How about the instrument cluster? Battery saver on msg is also a loadshed output. You may have to scroll a bit to look for it.

The next step is to gain access to the back of the port and check for 12v and grd. That if for the USB anyhow. The common denominator is the BCM.

Just a quick note on the radio fuse. Other could take up to 24 hrs for icon and some function of the radio to start working again. That is, if you removed it to check it.

Instruments look normal, no warnings or messages that I can see.

Thanks, the sound issue started right after I checked the fuses, I will give it a day and see how it is tomorrow.

The bcm is the control (12v) source for the relay run/accessory 1 in the power distribution center. The ground is provided by the pdc. If the bcm is sending 12v the relay should click. 12v is then sent to f51 f50 and 01 (01 is front windows switch) f50 is upfitters and f51 is rear view mirror, compass, inverter and last port media console. If any of those others are working, you may be looking at the media port itself. The other usb ports look like they connected to that port with an USB cable. If those other items work your BCM is not the power issue. The other run/acc 2 relay works the same way but controls the lighter cigar console and the speaker portable wireless.

Thank you for that, it's going to help with diagnostics. I'm guessing the dash lights around the USB ports are on the dash lighting circuit and not an indication of the USB function.

I've definitely had these issues too, frustrated the hell out of me. Ended up disconnecting the battery for a few, and then it was just fine. kinda weird, but whatever.
