Did not know that slot was designed for the fob, seems pretty silly. I keep my fob with the my 1 house key, and 1 or 2 key chains. The slot fits a cell phone very nicely so that's mostly what I use it for.
I put it there when I go off road, than when helping someone forward on trail, someone can move my jeep forward just by getting in and moving it up. Even when I had the JKUR I left the key in on trails for this reason.
You are one of the few that knows the flags are oriented correctly. I've seen arguments on the RAM site over BTS versions and here and the Wrangler site. I'm glad they took the big star off the front of the Freedom Editions personally fully realizing that some people like them, but like the flags and am ambivalent about the Oscar Mike on my Freedom tailgate. But I sure like the stuff I got on it and the price I paid for it in Dec. 2023 at 30% off MSRP. That actually made the difference. I liked Gladiators since they came out but thought they were way overpriced, in general other than a stripped base sport and that wasn't what I wanted.
