Recently my radio will randomly turns itself down to 0. I listen to Spotify through andriod auto 99% of the time if that makes a difference. I have not noticed this using other platforms simply because its not where I prefer to listen to music.

Has anybody experienced this? Any ideas on what could be causing it? It is super annoying and I'd love to figure this out.

I do have the 7" uconnect, with an aftermarket amp/sub/speakers. This was installed earlier this year.

TIA

Not sure if this helps or not but I had an issue with my radio going super quiet and then it would go super loud. Not sure which one of these solved the issues but I turned off speed volume adjust which mine was set to 3. I also have an iphone and it had sound check enabled which regulates the volume of music so I disabled that as well and I have had no issues since. I primarily listen to spotify as well. If you have an iphone the sound check is found at Settings>Music> Turn Off Sound Check

I'll double check all those settings. I turned it off on the Uconnect early on. Ill check my samsung to see if there are similar settings.

it sounds like a road noise adjustment. On the stock radio you can set your stereo to auto adjust volume for road noise, phone use, or nav directions. You’ll need to check your settings across each of these.

Check your inbox.
when it happens, have you turned the radio off and then back on and have it come back?

sometimes we have issues with the handshake, even when it's connected via cord. it hasn't happened in a while, I think some of the updates the phone mfg puts out messes with connections.

also try it just over bluetooth and not corded. sometimes its an unforeseen software issue.

my wife & I have basically the same iphone (I have the Max) for the past few years. she has to run certain software for her work so she can access email on her phone. her phone has much more problems because of that. battery life, bluetooth connection, etc.

That happens to me after using Google or Apple Maps thru Apple CarPlay. I can't figure out how to fix it.

I need to pay more attention if i do anything specific before it happens. All I know is it is annoying.

I've read the Taser can mess with raidio volume. I did do a regard about 2 months ago which is round about when this started happening. My scenario just doesnt read the same as how the Taser issue is described. So not sure that is it or not.

Probably your phone giving you voice directions at turns or exits, it can lower the music volume for the nav voice, then raise the volume back for music. Maybe that?

Anyone ever figure this one out? My Alpine, all stock, just started doing this with all inputs (Sirius, FM, etc). If I turn it off it resets and its fine for like 30 sec, then does it again.

Mine has stopped doing it, but now I randomly get a static/cutout of the sound when using carplay. I am thinking it is the headunit itself, but it is very frustrating.

I think the initial issue was somehow tied to the Tazer, but no way to prove that.

I'm not using a tazer or anything else like that. You maybe right about the head unit.
