Hello everybody!
Are there any news /rumors what can possibly be new/fixed in model 2021?
I really want that auto-shut-down feature to be optional or gone. Not a big fan of the holes between fenders and body, which are gaping when front doors are removed. Etc. etc. etc.

Auto start/stop "ASS" is not going anywhere due to fuel efficiency standards...but it can be deactivated with a Tazer. Not sure what holes you're referring to???

Regarding next model years; what generally happens first: closure of build orders or announcement of colors?

I agree that the Auto Start/Stop likely is here to stay.

Yeah, ESS isn't going anywhere. It saves fuel, which saves money for both the consumer and the manufacturer during EPA testing and certification. I will never understand why people won't just give it a chance. After a while, ESS becomes second nature, and you can modulate when it kick on with how hard you press the pedal.

Which holes are you talking about? I don't have holes between my fenders and body.

Would you give me more details about Tazer please?

I'd like to have an option to turn it off just once, instead of doing every time when I start engine.

Regarding the gaps, is it just the look that bothers you?

So far - yes. Did not have a chance to look under the fender to see if it might cause any other issues.

I mean.
Search for Tazer/Tazer Lite/Tazer Mini on google. It is a programmer that allows you to disable the ASS/no seatbelts chime, change tire size for speedometer calibration, perform light shows, etc...

Because it does increase wear/tear on the Starter. Yes the pistons are not all the way reset with the system so it isn't a true full-start, yes mfgs design the new starters to accommodate the extra cycles. I still dont consider it worth the savings in gas (of which I noticed very little). Plus if I need to go, that extra half-second does matter. It's also quite annoying. I spent the first 2500mi using it, and the last 2500 not using it, and prefer to leave it off.

For those of you with experience owning Jeeps, hell even other manufacturers, what kind of options and changes can we realistically hope for in a 2021 model? Cut the crap about ESS. Just get a Tazer. Let's focus on the deciding factors of buying a 2020 vs a 2021.

I'm waiting for the 2021 because it is the 80th anniversary and want to see what they do.
