This. It's scalper behavior. If your job/money situation was not stable then you bought the wrong vehicle and shouldn't have bought the tires in the first place.Believe me when I say I understand capitalism, supply and demand, etc.
For example, I don't really understand why so many people complain about rising prices on the things they enjoy. People, companies, whomever can only charge as much as someone is willing to pay. That is a free market.
If there is a monopoly or unfair practices that gouge prices on necessities, that is something altogether different.
I guess my problem on these fire sale types deals is that it just feels a little scalper-ish if someone bought these for the sole reason of selling them. That took an opportunity away from someone that otherwise could not afford what appears to be a great upgraded tire.
Is it illegal? No. Is it still wrong? .... enh, maybe? Should we grab pitchforks and match to his house? Absolutely not.
As a toddler would say, "It just feels icky."
