Oil filters are in short supply for many vehicles right now. My brother in law does the ordering for the local NAPA region. 28 stores. He said that he orders $1.1 million a week in parts. And he gets in $400,000 a week. Said some stuff, no issues at all. But other things, forget it.
Unfortunately even this has left me high and dry. I did exactly this and when I came in for the appointment they did the tire rotation and oil change but didn’t have the fuel filter I asked about when I made the appointment. I was told yes we have them in stock all the time. Come in for the appointment and nope they are on back order. We will call you when it comes in, don’t bother I won’t be back.
When I made mine appointment. I asked about the oil filter. Candy checked in parts to make sure they had them in stock. She put my name on one. She told me that they had 2 in stock.
You won't be able to get grease for the bearings. Because there won't be any crude to refine into grease.
