As soon as you go above the door sills, does water start coming into the cabin or do the door seals prevent water from entering for a short time.
Some private land nearby that offers off-roading. They have some water crossings. Saw a short video clip of this past weekend. Guy was in water about mid-way up his door and got stuck for a good minute. Temp was in the low 30's, pretty sure the water was in the 40's. I just assumed his cabin was full or filling with water but wasn't sure.

I added the mopar door sills, and have not had an issue. However, I have heard reports from other owners on the forum that some other type of door sills can stop the seal from completely keeping all water out.

some serious water crossings here. The only one that ends up with water in the cam is the Toyota

If you keep moving, water won't enter the cabin as easily as if you stop. Water will then come into the body through the floor drains, but not into the cabin quite yet.

Ive got a 2022 gladiator rubicon...leaks like a sieve.
Ive had mine in some deep water over front guard height at times (much deeper than profile image)

I would argue that they all leak pretty badly because mine has from new.

If you take a look under the front doors, there is a vertical sheet metal seam on the car...there is little chancd of the standard rubber door seals adequitely sealing across that seam.

The floor drains are both a blessing and a curse...a blessing because they are great for washing out and draining, a curse because they also leak like a sieve.

My trick is, dont get bogged in waist deep water...it wont be long before you are swimming in water inside the cabin.

One of the few 4wds im aware of that wont suffer from this issue is the Grenadier Ineos...ive heard on youtube videos that the factory guarantees somethijg like 1 hour no water ingress as part of the sales pitch.
