Great idea. I haven't had any leaks on my Gladiator yet, hard to believe, but I do this anyway although I use Sil-Glyde. Found out about this trying to stop my JK with half door leaks. I used a kit from jeepleakfix dot com and Sil-Glide, no more leaks if you can believe that.
I use your treatment usually twice a year!
I use Shin-Etsu silicone on mine and have never had any issues with leaks so far. I believe it's a good idea to keep these seals lubricated.

Agree'd.
When i bought my first used hardtop for a JK, the seals were filtly, super hard, and leaked like hell! After a good cleaning and lube, the freedom palels did stop leaking.
I clean and lube all the door and top seals at least once a year

Thanks for the suggestion. Just ordered a tube and will try it out. Think I'll try it on my 2002 F250 door seals also. Texas heat is hard on rubber!

Clean them good with soap and water and a totthbrush if needed, let them dry and treat them.

Just further adding that shin-etsu is the real deal, solved a couple leak issues for me too.
