Anyone had this problem? I had it professionally installed just because they said they cleaned and prepped everything with denatured alcohol, cut excess weather stripping tight to the unit, and I figured they'd do a better job than I could. And I'd rather spend $90 for their labor hour than do it myself and possibly run into something like I currently have. Exactly one year later, it's coming out completely on one side and starting to on the other. The bed is getting wet each rain (not to mention it becoming precarious to wash) and I keep paper targets and such back there. I've contacted BAK, and I'm sure they'll take care of me, but if this is more on the installer, I'd rather it be on them to fix it.

I've not had that issue on mine, and I installed it myself.

Hard telling who it is actually on. At this point it would be impossible to prove it was an installation issue. If BAK honors warranty and fixes this, do it yourself this time.

Side note, it also could be a kid or vandal issue. That sitting out there and someone grabbing it and pulling.

I don't suspect a kid or vandalism simply because it's been a slow process and peeling steadily over the past few months. I was able to wedge it back under there for a while, but more and more was making its way loose. I suppose you're right about not being able to really tell whether it was the installation or not. I'll definitely redo it myself if they send me more weather stripping. Not sure at this point what they are going to think about it, but they've been pretty great to deal with so far. I had a broken piece in shipping which they overnighted to me.

Nope, sadly. I think I’ll get some black silicone caulk and just seal it that way.
