Installed my front hothead liner today (first time I had the front top off) and found that the rear hard top corner was cracked. Awesome. Anyone else had this from the factory? First time I had it off so that sucks. Now to see if the dealership will agree that it's a factory defect. Without smashing a panel down and probably clamping out of place, I can't imagine how one could crack this.--I'm annoyed...

Man, I feel for you. I'll have to check that before I go topless for the first time, thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, it's a bummer. The thing that gets me is it is almost cracked all the way through, not just a little. I would have never seen it had I not been doing the liner install and looked to see what the bolts holding the rear in looked like up there.

Wow, that sucks. Worst I had my freedom panels were aligned like someone at the factory was drunk. Miracle it didn't leak. Think warranty will cover you or maybe some kind of fiberglass repair ?

I'm gonna try the warranty route but I'm not hopeful, kinda my word against their prejudice and lazy (there are shit dealers around here too.). Thinking it's gonna end up at a good fiberglass or body shop. I just can't believe I got this unlucky and it's not larger issue. Only had the thing 1k miles and the top was never off prior to today.

not to detract from the original thread here...but i just found the same yesterday. I have what I think is an above average amount of wind noise on my 21 so I got out the ruler and straight-edge yesterday.....my freedom panels are VERY crooked. Watching videos and waiting for a nice weather day to tinker with the alignment a bit. Not even going to waste my time trying to get the dealer to make it better. The process looks rather straight-forward, and at this point I don't think I could make it any worse.

I have had my hard top freedom panels rear locator pins drop pieces like chalk onto passenger about that time. I had to use JB plumbers putty to fill the chunks then coat the thing in aluminum tape to protect it. The quality has gone down since the JK for sure. I know how you feel, every Stellantis dealership I have been to around here has been the worst of any brands in the area, not sure why.

I have the same issue and every passenger I've had has mentioned it. You have to amp up your speaking voice to almost shouting if you want to be heard on speeds over 65. (with windows up)

I will say I think the dealer took the top off when they fixed the back window leak.

I took mine in for wind noise at upper right corner of windshield (driver's side) and got it back 2 days later saying it was fixed. Sounded the same or worse and now my wife says she here's more noise from the right side. I know it is a Jeep, but....Taking it back in this week to ride with the tech..

I've only had it since Dec 7 and 3300 miles.
