I agree completely. I met an unassuming man in Houston, Texas Named Larry Wiggins. He was a relaxed, quiet, and friendly person who always listened more than spoke. He was quick to compliment and slow to criticize. While I was at Air War College at Maxwell I learned about a Larry Wiggins who was considered by all of us (Air Force pilots) to be one of the greatest fighter pilots to have ever lived. We always thought that this man was ten feet tall and crapped lightning. The kind of guy who would walk into a bar and clean the place out. I asked if he was "the" Larry Wiggins of the 469th. He grinned, lowered his head in a humble manner and said that he was. It was an honor to meet Larry. If he were to walk by you, you wouldn't think of him as one of the greatest warriors in history.

It's always the quiet ones, the skinny ones, the ones who avoid confrontation and the ones you least expect that are truly the most badass and have seen the most. Their eyes almost always give it away.My similar reaction to when I saw pictures of the real-life version of this guy, instead of the movie version:
The ones I can't stand are the ones who brag, who tell "war stories" in macho and theatrical ways, and who can't hold a conversation without telling you they have PTS from being blown up in Iraq.
The fuck you did, the fuck you do, go away.
