Recently changed up lights and switch assignments (the latter made all too easy with a Badge Glow aux board):
  • Aux 1: Diode Dynamics Stage Series 50” driving pattern light bar
  • Aux 2: Diode Dynamics Stage Series 18” flood pattern amber chase light
  • Aux 3: Diode Dynamics SS3 Sport driving pattern ditch lights with amber covers
  • Aux 4: Diode Dynamics Stage Series 6” flood pattern amber scene lights
Logic in placement is Aux 1 and 2 are higher powered fuses and those lights will draw the most, and the switches up top (1 & 3) are forward facing lights while those on the bottom (2 & 4) are rear.

Well you've crushed my dream, so there's that. (I still think it could work?)
Well......................just think. I saved you from either blowing a fuse.............or burning down your Jeep.

Why would you not hardwire your dashcam to always come on when the ignition is on? Just got my first dashcam, and am curious.

A) im lazy and it was easy to wire it to the existing harness

B) you can set the oem aux switchs to “remember last state” so it turns on whenever the vehicle is on

C) I have a “parking mode” cable that keeps it powered when the truck is off

1. reserved for winch solenoid
2. reserved for aux tank fuel pump
3. front cowl lights
4. rear flood lights

Interior hot runs the GMRS Radio
Interior switched lead will go to a dash cam at some point.

Gee,

I ran a GMRS radio from the aux ignition line and had interference. I would plan on using the supplied always hot or running a dedicated line. That goes for the ground as well, there is a ground stud under the glove box, but I've heard of ham ground issues there. I ran a dedicated ground as a part of my troubleshooting.

Running my dash cam switch one from behind the glove box, soon I’ll be adding a cb radio to switch 2, just need to decide which type of radio I want a ssb 40 ch with weather and scan or a combo cb radio 40 channel weather with a built in police/fire/ambulance scanner (bearcat 885)

Front lights, winch interrupt, rear lights, non switched power to 12v outlet in back of console. #4 currently unused.
Now to get off my ass and install rear winch/ Anderson connector that was on my XJ. "Weather depending";) then it might be hooked on #4, or relayed air compressor...?

For your skid plate electrical hook up. Did you still have to run the provided switch? I have the red power wire connected to AUX 4 but I am still needing the Oracle provided switch turned on in order to get them to work. Did I miss something? Thx

I save my switches for things that really need to be switched. To me, things like radios and dashcams can just go off the constant and switched power sources directly. No need to put a switch in between them. That's just my preference though, and my wanting to preserve the limited real estate of the aux switches.

That being said, Aux 1 and Aux 2 are waiting for me to decide to one day finally buy trail lights. Aux 3 is open, and Aux 4 runs my ARB compressor. There's something damn convenient about being able to turn the compressor on and off from the cab without any extra switches.
