Benny - part number and price for front body bolt? The big long bolt with 3 tubes of Loc-tite spread all over all threads that holds the body to the frame......

This is part of it...........the rest is solidly glued up into the body ->

According to the manual you're supposed to use a heat induction tool to loosen those up.
(I couldn't just leave it there like that)

I have one on order now - a day too late, of course.

Manual? What manual? The owner's manual for Jeep? Odd, found nothing about body bolts in the manual. I need to contact Jeep, maybe a class action suite!

The inductor will be used to warm things up when I do the final torque on those bolts - which will happen after the steps are installed.

Man, that sucks.. I just did mine and I was blissfully unaware of this possibility...

I was thinking about replacing my bolts though after reading about these breaking but I'm debating on whether or not it's worth messing with them now ..

Benny can confirm but these are what I have in my cart currently...

Front bolts: 06512962AA

Middle bolts: 6508326AA

Rear bolts: 06512897AA

I have heard from at least two sources - one was Jerry, forum member who helped with our JLU steps, that if you are going to have trouble, it's almost certainly the left front. Well, I can confirm - the left front on the JLU was the toughest of them all, but I got it, and the trouble on my JT is indeed the left front.

This is a bit confusing - A pillar is of course the front of the three, by the windshield.
B is typically the one right back of the front door.
C is the rear-most pillar

So when I see this - I wonder - which is it?
It says body cushion to frame A and C which means the front and rear...

Now compare prices - and look at the sizes - almost the exact same size, off by roughly 1 mm - 6 times the cost! and shorter by 1mm

This has reminded me that it's not the "front" bolt I need, it's the front of the three that are by the rocker panel pinch weld area, under the A pillar, behind the axle.
I don't need the true front bolt as that's ahead of the axle, near the area of the steering gear.

So it's the one sort of below the A pillar, or front door hinge area, about where a front mud flap would line up with.

I have to think "front of the three by the rocker panel" not the REAL front one ahead of the axle.

I was not thinking completely when I said "front". The fronts are near the engine bay, on the left, near the steering gear.
I should have been careful in terminology - "my front" is the front of the 3 needed to mount the steps. It's the front of the three between the axles. My front would be the second one back on each side, just behind the front wheels. They are right about where a mud flap would be, almost right under the windshield.
I didn't keep in mind there are REAL front mounts that are ahead of the axles.

So when I say front, I should be clear - not the real front that a parts person would look up, but the second one back, the first one behind the front wheel. The "A pillar" body mount bolt, just about straight down from the cowl or rear edge of the hood, right behind the front wheel. It's the one they use 3 tubes of locking compound on so that the locking compound is so thick you can't even tell there's threads on the bolts.

I was going to remove each bolt fully and clear their locking compound off but they have retainers that hold the bolts up in place so that even when fully unscrewed from the body mount, you can't just pull the bolt down and out. You can unscrews them so they are out of the threads, but you can't drop the bolt out. (not without real force)
You can see it here - along with 8 ounces of the Loctite they use on these A pillar body bolts.

To be honest, I hadn't really thought about the "real" forward body mount by the grill..

I found the part numbers On northridge4x4.com, they have a diagram showing where the bolt is. It's not in the screen capture, but they call out number 10 as being the forward body mount bolt below the a pillar..

I suppose we'll have to wait for Benny to confirm, I am far from a Mopar parts expert lol...

Does anyone know what this is for? Bought a new to me 2020 Mojave. This was in the glove box and I cannot for the life of me figure out what this is for?

It's got 3 different numbers on it.

I Googled it but couldn't find anything.
