Compared to modern stuff it is kind of slow, but it tries to kill you the whole time. I love it.

Runs mid 13s in the 105 range if I recall
I'll take old school raw horsepower any day, over this new age smooth and boring shit.

Put the beast that is the CVT Pioneer (Mt. Denali) XL on a temp wood bed rack. Not going to be offroading with this but gave me a much better idea of the rack and orientation. And as a bonus it still fits in the garage, barely. šŸ˜…

How do you like the bumper? Narrowing down my choice and this is among the top choices. Are you confident the corner would hold up to so hard wheeling, i.e. dropping off ledges?
Love it! Easy to put on and I just added backup lights to where the mesh grill part is since it already had the attachment points behind there. Looks like much better clearance than I thought when I ordered it.

Finally replaced the stock 32" tires on my '20 Gladiator Overland. I wanted to go with 275/70R18s, but found a killer deal on 265/70R18 Falken Rubitrek's that I couldn't pass up (<$200 per tire). It's approximately 33"x10.5" and fits great on the truck with no lift.

I work for no man.
Know the feeling. Lived in Charleston most of my life and dealt with them often. Rode out Hugo in '89. Wasn't a bit of fun. Took years to recover.
Yes, I live upstate in Abbeville. We were not expecting the hurricane to be that intense this far inland. Oh, and I remember Hugo too. You guys took a hell of a punch then and kept on ticking.

Im in the Upstate of SC also. Recovery is definetly going to take years to get all signs of damage gone. My wife lived the first 30+ years of her life in FL and said she has never seen so many trees down ever.

Yes it's amazing the damage inland. I know there were warnings but I don't think anyone expected the destruction that took place. I feel most of the towns will recover but it's going to take a long long time. I had family without power for 5 and 6 weeks after Hugo. Makes you really appreciate modern day comforts. Hopefully recovery efforts will go well and take less time than they anticipate for both Helene and Milton.

Installed a new bed rack (AA Racks Lite rack - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CVXMZDTG) which took a fair amount of hacking and slashing to fit how I wanted.

First.. I needed it to mount to the t-slot on my tonneau... but it looked like this:

So, with a little trimming and drilling, it now looks like this:

The crossbars were 3 inches taller than I wanted and about 9 inches too long:

But a little choppy chop later...

And it lines up perfectly with my Dee Zee roof rack:

I put the front Dana/Spicer armored diff cover on my JT tonight. Unfortunately, my electronic torque wrench had a hiccup and shut off, causing me to over-torque a bolt. It did not handle much past the 30 ft. lbs. spec and it broke.

Any suggestions to get the nub that“s left outta there would be appreciated. This really ticked me off. Dang it.

No fun. I’d drain fluid, remove the cover, protect the gears with masking of some kind, then the real fun. You’ll need to drill the bolt, and use an extractor to remove it. It’s going to not be fun. But thankfully it’s only 30 ft lbs. if you’re lucky, when you remove the cover, some bolt will be sticking out and you could try a vice grip, very carefully. A VERY good welder could weld a nut onto it to use to rotate it out, but you’d need to be very careful to not heat up the casting too much. It’s safer to drill and extract.

A buddy that has a great deal of experience told me that there is a kit I can buy at an auto store called an easy extractor or something like that. But he did say it might be tough, even with that.

I“m praying that enough is sticking out to use vice grips, but I don“t think that is the case.

Thank you for the advice and tips!

This will be my first experience doing this kind of thing. So the positive is that I will learn from it.

I read somewhere, maybe out of a Jeep service manual, that you can“t re-use the cover bolts once they“ve been used. So is that true? Do I need to buy new bolts? I sure hope not. I do still have all the old bolts from the stock cover, so I could sub one of those in once I get the broken one out.
