Yes, after 15 years butSeems like you got good use out of the original!
I need that extra space for my foot to rest on the firewall. That wouldn't work for me .Added a Quadratec dead pedal. Definitely an improvement.![]()

I had them taped at one point, per your recommendation. At some point it got pulled for some reason. I can’t remember. I need to redo them. It helps a lot.If you take the cowl covers off, there's a point below the windshield where there's a gap. Usually filled with sealant, but not always. It's a source of wind noise. I put duct seal tape there, noise went away. Something to look at.

Old guy here, I have these new high tech hearing aids…it has a MUTE button Connected to my phone! Best support feature ever for my 35” MT’s and a ton of whistling at any speed. Orange Foam rolls up for sure on the trip.Another thing I've been chasing... a damn air leak whistle somewhere.
I tried reseating the freedom panels, tried "reseating" the read slide window, and tried retightening the top bolts, but it's still there. I think it's in the rear of the cab, and if I crack any one of the windows it stops. Going to pull the panels and top this afternoon and clean all the seals and see if any need reconditioning.
Got a 3,000 mile trip starting next week and I DO NOT want to listen to this the entire time...
That colorInstalled the Grim winch plate and Badlands 12k# winch.

Best shocks I’ve ever had on a Jeep were King bypass shocks, but at almost $3,000, when they started leaking after 5-6 years, I swapped to the 5100 and been running them since (kings can be rebuilt, but cost prohibitive). 5100s are no where near as good as the kings at high speed desert running, but I’m not racing my Jeep and the 5100 is a ton more budget friendly when they are at the end of their life…My Fox shocks were shot. The Bilsteins work really well with the extra weight I carry around. I only drove it off road at the house and I no longer bounce around. Definitely a firmer ride, but with my weight, I don’t feel any pounding going over logs and rocks. I like them. My wife will drive it on the highway tomorrow . I can't wait for her report. The last time she drove it, she claimed it felt like an old baby buggy.
I want to make my axles shiny again. My axles I think are fine paint wise. But my frame is scratched right to hell.
A few people have said that about Bilsteins 5100 . To be honest, the oem lasted almost 4 years. My 2014 Duramax still has the original shocks. I'd like to know who made those for GM.Best shocks I’ve ever had on a Jeep were King bypass shocks, but at almost $3,000, when they started leaking after 5-6 years, I swapped to the 5100 and been running them since (kings can be rebuilt, but cost prohibitive). 5100s are no where near as good as the kings at high speed desert running, but I’m not racing my Jeep and the 5100 is a ton more budget friendly when they are at the end of their life…
