Does the steering stabilizer really get hot enough to need that extra oil in the reservoir? I’ve never actually felt it after running around a lot.

Does the steering stabilizer really get hot enough to need that extra oil in the reservoir? I’ve never actually felt it after running around a lot.
I switched to a simple, but heavy duty one from rock krawler. Very happy with it. And much stronger.

I switched to a simple, but heavy duty one from rock krawler. Very happy with it. And much stronger.
Rock Krawler has been coming up in my radar a lot more recently. I kinda passed them over a while back thinking they weren’t really that good of stuff. I’ve educated myself since then.

(A little, cant expect too much when I grew up in Louisiana.) :bandit:

The theory would be, the bigger the tire dia/width/MT vs street stockies, and terrain bolder bashing it’s going to heat up similar to a wheel shock does, can’t say it will foam the fluid inside, but I’ll take more fluid every time. I run the falcon pass through shaft, spendy but I love the adjustable settings especially on the freeway and trails.

Just to educate myself, it does actually mean Computer Automated Design right? I remember my brother working with that and Fortran(sp) years ago during college.

and you live in So Cal... :CWL: so the trend continues.

I ran RockKrawler on my JK when I lived in Long Beach. Never had any issues as long as you do the basic maintenance like on all the kits. i.e. grease the joints, check bolt torque, clean the sandy crap out of the joint areas. I actually like their springs combined with the Bilstein 5100 shocks. Road really good on the highway and was flexy as crap on the rocks. I ran Charlies Creek in Georgia with a couple Tacoma's. They took a bypass around a section that I just walked through like I was on the 405 in LA (minus the gunfire). I wish I could find the picture they got of me flexed out. They were impressed (note: both own Gladiators now), I was just checking out the scenery.

I was pretty sure it was computer aided drafting.
I've seen it both ways, but design is the widely used variant and what all CAD software companies will say as well. Technically its computer-aided design and drafting, so really either way is correct.

When I worked in steel manufacturing the only guys that called it drafting were the ones who thought they were above everyone else.

Meaning anyone old enough to have actually been required to learn basic drafting in school? :)

Drafting does sounds more techy cool. I’m personally more on the cardboard aided design side of things. :like:

It’s insane how much vendors want for a flat piece of aluminum or steel with one single bend in it. I’m strongly considering buying some sheet metal and making my own. I can avoid huge laser cut vendor logos, and contour the top line exactly as I want it.

Great idea. Love it. Do places like that bend as well? I can cut, and bend up to 12” wide stuff, but if I wanted to do larger stuff, I’d be looking for a used really wide brake.

Great idea. Love it. Do places like that bend as well? I can cut, and bend up to 12” wide stuff, but if I wanted to do larger stuff, I’d be looking for a used really wide brake.
My local shop can do anything I need, or at least to this point has. Send-Cut-Send can form parts but has some limitations, but not sure what. I usually only send small parts to them like brackets and mounts. I save the larger stuff for the local shop.
