What’s work?
I I'm thinking of adding a hook to my Willys, too. Any thoughts on flipping them over so they open to the outside?
You know I don’t know, I haven’t really looked other than it only has the one and it looks silly. But I’ve now been inspired.

I use my one hook to drag branches around the yard and out of the ditch and I've been wondering if it would be a little easier to hook the strap from the outside. Not that it's that hard, you understand, it just might be easier when I'm backed into two foot tall weeds to figure out where to hook the strap.

No it makes sense. I don’t know if there is specific reason for the orientation other than many recoveries over the years have many times off center a.k.a bad angles so the current direction would keep rigging down in the belly and away from the throat. A second one orientated the same direction would resolve that, also I doubt the skinny jean wearing designers at Jeep put much thought into what direction a hook should be. I can’t imagine many of them have been out at 1130 at night in 12 degree weather rescuing some friends dipshit teenagers who thought snow is super fun.

Are you sure it’s the valve cover seal, and not the seal for the oil control solenoid? It’s super easy to change out. Both of mine were leaking, and

It could very well be the oil control solenoid seals that are leaking. On front end of both valve covers. Super easy to change out. I’d be surprised if the valve cover seals are leaking.

I’ve seen my coolant level vary widely. No leaks found. Meaning it varies by 3/4” in either direction. I personally think altitude, temperature, etc. push a small amount up through a the cap seal. I’ve seen a tiny amount of pink residue on the hood liner. I added a couple ounces one time in 60k miles. It never lowers past the minimum, and never gets over hot.

What’s P0420?

the axle seals are a pain. I thought one of my fronts was leaking, but it wasn’t. I bought the tools to put a new one in for under $50. At least for passenger front
PO420 is O2 sensor related, 3 separate faults with the same code.

My valve cover is leaking from the back of the engine down onto the bellhousing, this has killed 1 O2 sensor already. I replaced the O2 Sensor already and rerouted the harness to prevent the same issue again........well so I thought

Did test drives to make sure I didn't botch the psc install, all seems good so far.
Still need to adjust the tie rod and drag link a bit more, cut the dust shields, and adjust the tie rod clamp.

PSC steering feels crazy light compared to a steering stabilizer and so much more stable. There's no real return to center tho.

I have been looking at that product, this California sun is brutal to plastic parts. Do you mind doing a 3 or 4 month follow up so I can see how it's holding up. Thanks

Got my rear fender flares and liner installed. No more busted plastic liner after someone couldn’t get out of a parking spot next to me (found the scratches where they definitely hit as they backed out). Hooke Road Flat fender flares and Spartan liners installed on the rear. Front will catch up eventually. Of course I painted the inserts to match the Mojave orange!

Should of done one of these boards a long time ago. Used a piece of leftover cedar deck board.
