Installed my freshly wrapped Combat Offroad taillights. Since my JT is black, the stock powder coated color of the taillights looked crappy (to me). Bought some 3M 2080 Gloss Black wrap and had a shop do the wrap. I'll be on a eastern Indiana Jeep run tomorrow, so I'll definitely be posting more pics.

Looks sharp! What run are you doing and what Jeep group is it? There´s another doing a Parke County Covered Bridge run this weekend, I think.

I made an attempt to remove the broken bolt from my front diff housing. The way it broke has a peak in the middle, so I could not get the reverse drill to stay put....it kept walking to the sides. So I have a buddy who runs a Jeep shop (For Fox´s Sake Off-Road and Metalwork) who is going to get that sucker out for me Monday morning. He´s a super cool guy that did the re-gear in my JL 4 or 5 years ago. He has removed many a broken bolt, as you can imagine.

I also installed a CB antenna mount on the fender and hooked up a President Bill CB. Pics are coming soon.

Next up is to re-install the front tie downs, which I procrastinated on after installing the Bed Rug. Then I will come up with a 12v power solution in the bed, too.

Then...sticker removal. Rubicon and Jeep stickers/badges will be coming off. I am going with more of a monotone blue/black look. I want to get rid of any red except the rear tow hooks. Eventually, even the dash will be Hydro Blue.

I´m also at some point going to upgrade the lighting.

I picked this up on Temu, and it is badass.....A much larger ¨solar generator¨ battery pack for my fridge and other stuff...this is a 1,050 watt hour Lipo battery. I ran a power drill from it yesterday and it can power a hairdryer for my GF and run the fridge for a loooooong time. It was only $245. I was a bit nervous about it, but the quality turned out to be outstanding. I may pick up another one at some point. As I type this there is an Amazon ad for a 299wh battery for $269 after coupon. So this Temu deal is killer.

Boring. Changed the oil. I accidentally bumped the hose on the valve just before it was completely drained. Oops. Spilled a little. No big deal.
Ha, the best laid plans...

I make people bigger brighter and louder
Been having trouble with my tailgate locking and unlocking. Replaced the locking assembly today. 71 dollars for the assembly wasn't bad and easy to replace.

Sometimes the best thing to do is call in the big guns.
Good for you to be able to admit you need help. Most can't, I myself have dug in to deep to on occasion, and I've been turning wrenches for 40+ yrs.

I will swallow my pride before hurting my Jeep. LOL. Thanks! I did give it a try, but man I did not want to get into those threads.

Sounds like it needs a quick hit with a die grinder carefully to flatten it out first.

Depending on your relationship with the mechanic, maybe he will let you watch. Then you might have a better idea what to do next time.

He will. He's a great guy
We've Jeeped together with a club a couple of times. Looking forward to learning.
