I’m kinda paranoid with air filters. I change mine at 10K. I had one mess up a carburetor years ago around 12K.

I also change mine at 10K miles especially living in the desert.

Cleaned and recharged my K&N air filter. Kind of amazing after 20K miles how much dirt and crapola came out after hitting it with the cleaning spray and hot water. After it dried in the sun for a couple of hours, sprayed a very light coating of new oil, used a paper towel to sop up any excess, then put back in.

I always heard K&N is for street use only? Is that true?

Oh my lord I had to redrill my winch plate in order to get mine mounted because bumper sat too close to the grill & mounting bolts not long enough to add a plate spacer.. not to mention I had an extremely hard time sticking my hand up in & under the winch to get the bolts started..lol only way I would do it is park under a big tree limb & hoist bumper with winch attached then under bumper bolts back the jeep up 1 ft. Switch grills then pull forward and bolt it back ‍

Can you not just do the "grill hack" and remove the lower connectors so that the bottom just slides in behind the winch?

K and N products are a scam in my opinion. Snake oil at their finest. I love my Corsa filter. Good for 100k miles of heavy desert running. Air compressor to clean it out occasionally. No oil.

Never heard of a Corsa Filter till now!!! Had the K&N hated doing the oil and cleaning . Got rid of it went back to factory style . I will check these out . Is it's particulate filtering similar to factory ??

I have been running K&N air filters in my vehicles for many years without any issues. Just clean around every 20K miles, and no muss, no fuss. Even for a while, when I was doing my own oil changes, I would get their oil filter. Head and shoulders above the rest.
